Koya Sato received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Yamagata University, Yamagata, Japan, in 2013, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Electro-Communications, Chofu, Japan, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Research Fellow (DC2) with Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan. His current research interests include wireless communications, decentralized machine learning, data privacy, and spatial statistics.
